"God's Spirit dwells in you"
1 Corinthians 3:16
There are times in our life where we feel alone. As a single parent for many years I always felt alone, defeated and misunderstood. It seemed like I had to be the mom, dad and so much more. With lack of help from my children’s dad made life difficult for me. I can remember feeling like I didn’t know how to keep going some days. The weight of the world weighed in on my shoulders. Yet in these difficult seasons of physically being alone one day after thinking about Jesus and my relationship with him I realized that I may be physically doing everything alone but it’s the spirit of God inside of me that is building me up, helping me get through each day and giving me renewal of strength. Although I felt like I was suffering and silently would cry out for help that went unnoticed at times, it was the Lord that was giving me the ability to keep going. I began to remember his love, protection and how he sustained me to keep doing everything he knew I had to do in taking care of myself and 2 children that needed me always.
What I realized is that being spiritually filled with the Holy Spirit meant “ I can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives me strength”. He knew my life was challenging but he always helped me in every single circumstance that I faced. He helped me get through times I didn’t know how I’d get through. If it wasn’t for the Lords spirit dwelling in me I could not make it.
People from the outside would question how can I do this alone? My answer is God is with me. He has never left my side. I’ve had many encounters with him letting me know he’s right here giving me courage, knowledge and wisdom to do every thing I need to do!
The best partnership with God is him being inside of us. He nudges, convicts, and is constantly always pushing us and making a way ahead of us.
I pray today reaches you knowing that you can find completeness and strength in the Lord. He is always with you. He will continually show you that he is with you by giving you the strength to keep going. The reason I can tell this story and the reason you are here right now reading this is because the Lord has carried you and given you his strength to intercede for you and me!
God bless you!
